 Dynamic Menu What's This?

The Dynamic Menu displays expanding submenus. When the Dynamic Menu option is on, you will see a right pointing triangle (Expand). When you put the mouse over the menu item, the menu will expand to the right.

If you like this feature, check the Checkbox to the left; otherwise, make sure it is unchecked.

If you use the same computer every time you visit the ITS web pages, we'll be able to remember your menu preferences!

New StudentsInformation for New and Prospective Students

Understanding and making full and effective use of an institution's information technology resources can be a confusing and overwhelming experience for many new students. These pages are designed to make your computing experience at Otterbein enjoyable, productive and risk-free. If at any time you have questions, don't hesitate to contact the Student Help Desk (located in Roush 015A or at 823-1060) or the Student Computing Manager (Roush 015B, 823-1885 or traleigh@otterbein.edu).

Asking the Right Questions. Before going into specifics relating to Otterbein, you should review the Student Guide to Evaluating Information Technology on Campus from Educause. This brochure provides new students with thoughtful questions about technology resources.

One last document to review is Otterbein's Responsible Use Policy. This document outlines what computer practices are permitted and which ones are prohibited.

More information for new students can be found on the Student Life web pages.

Be sure to print all of the web pages shown here and keep them handy as you begin your transition to Otterbein. If you find yourself offline your paper copies will guide you with problem solving.
