 Dynamic Menu What's This?

The Dynamic Menu displays expanding submenus. When the Dynamic Menu option is on, you will see a right pointing triangle (Expand). When you put the mouse over the menu item, the menu will expand to the right.

If you like this feature, check the Checkbox to the left; otherwise, make sure it is unchecked.

If you use the same computer every time you visit the ITS web pages, we'll be able to remember your menu preferences!

Folders & Online Storage

Before discussing online storage, it is critical to convey one important message regarding saving your work:

Jump Drives, CD-Rs (Recordable CDs), CD-RWs (Re-writable CDs) and external hard drives are recommended for portable media storage and backup. Tip: Put an Identification file with your name and contact information on your jump drive. (e.g. name a Word document or any text file "Identification"). If you leave your jump drive in a lab, we will know who it belongs to and contact you to return it!

Home Folder

As an alternative to keeping important school work on your computer or external storage media, the Department of Information Technology provides all students with personal storage space on a network server. These folders, often referred to as Home Folders, allow you to store and retrieve your files using any computer connected to the Internet.

More importantly, the Home Folder server is backed up every night, ensuring that you will never lose any data.
