 Dynamic Menu What's This?

The Dynamic Menu displays expanding submenus. When the Dynamic Menu option is on, you will see a right pointing triangle (Expand). When you put the mouse over the menu item, the menu will expand to the right.

If you like this feature, check the Checkbox to the left; otherwise, make sure it is unchecked.

If you use the same computer every time you visit the ITS web pages, we'll be able to remember your menu preferences!

Information for Nursing StudentsInformation for Graduate Program and Traditional Nursing Students

Understanding and making full and effective use of an institution's information technology resources can be a confusing and overwhelming experience for many new students. This page's purpose is to serve as a guide to get you started with your technology resources at Otterbein. It may be used as a supplement to the Nursing Handbooks on the Nursing website. If at any time you have questions on these resources, don't hesitate to contact the Student Help Desk (located in the Campus Center or at 614-823-1060).

What to do First

Activate your account

Activate your network account. You should do this before you do anything else. You can even do this before you arrive on campus to purchase your student identification card and parking decal.

IDs and Passwords

Know Your User Name and Password. You have one user name and one unique password that you created upon activation of your account. You also have a unique ID number and pin for student services (Self-Service Banner)

My O-Zone
O-Zone is your personal, customizable portal to Otterbein's Intranet. Logon to your O-Zone page to access links to all other resources and no need to logon separately. It is single sign-on! See all your personal information and keep current on Otterbein news.IMPORTANT NOTICE: New and Returning students may not automatically have an OZone account upon activating your network account. This is a known issue and will be fixed very soon. In the interim...you may access the very same resources as all students by navigating via www.otterbein.edu and using the A-Z index to go to each system such as Banner, webmail, etc...directly. This affects students who are admitted but not taking a class the very next quarter. (e.g. admitted Winter quarter and not taking a class until Summer quarter)
e-Mail
Using Otterbein e-mail. Learn how to read your Otterbein e-mail with your web browser. Configure your e-mail program so that it can receive your Otterbein e-mail.

Other On-line Resources

Self Service Banner

Self Service Banner replaces Cardinal Web for Students as the new student services where you handle all your student business on-line. (e.g. Register for classes, do a degree audit, pay bills, check grades...) Logon with your ID number and unique 6 number pin. (e.g. ID: A12345678, pin: 123456) or simply logon through the quick link on your O-Zone after single sign-on!
