Residence Hall Update!
All resident students will need to re-register their computers
Fall Quarter 2008.
Windows 2000 will no longer be allowed access to the Otterbein
Network due to falling out of Microsoft support.
Macintosh computers can connect to the residence hall
network.
The registration process features a program called Bradford
Campus Manager that will scan your machine for current virus
protection, updated Windows and a current spyware remover.
The Scan will identify any fixes needed to allow access to
the network. Prepare in advance by updating your Windows operating
system, having current virus protection or remove it prior
to registration to install the free McAfee (must remove old
virus protection first or risk corrupting your operating system),
and have a current spyware remover. (Spybot Search and Destroy
will be offered in the registration process)
A mobile Student Help Desk will be set up the Saturday and
Sunday of New Student Weekend, Sept. 13th and 14th in the
Campus Center. Stop by if you need assistance registering
your computer. You may also contact the Student Help Desk
at (614) 823-1060.
Use the following information to connect your computer
to the Otterbein residence network.
