Guide: Slow Computer
Your computer is running slow or not hitting
pages on the Internet? Try this:
Your computer is slow because it is probably infected with
spyware or a virus.
If you had a recent infection (you noticed an immediate change
after possibly seeing a malware popup window), you can start
by using Window's system restore feature. Go back in time
to right before the problem started. No files will be lost,
only installed programs since that point in time.
Then, run a free spyware utility to clean up your machine.

Make sure your virus protection is running and is updated.
Do this by checking subscription renewal date and checking
to see if you have the most recent virus definitions installed.
