Phishing
If you receive an e-mail claiming to be from the ITS department
asking for personal information, DO NOT RESPOND!
These Emails are asking for your account information so they
can log on to the Otterbein network and engage in malicious
activity.
Remember - we will never ask for log-in information
about your account.

Spam Filtering
To reduce the amount of spam going to Otterbein e-mail accounts,

the new Microsoft Vista operating system and the new Office

Battery Recall
We have recently been made aware that there is a battery
recall for some Apple, Dell, IBM, Lenovo, and Toshiba laptop
computers. These defective batteries may pose a safety
risk. Information & Technology Services is processing
the laptops that Otterbein has purchased for staff and faculty.
If you have a personal Apple, Dell IBM, Lenovo or Toshiba
laptop, please go to the web links listed below to determine
if your laptop is affected. The web sites also provide
information for exchanging a defective battery with a replacement
battery.
