Kimberlee Goodman is a native of Arizona. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Arizona State University, a Masters of Music degree from The Ohio State University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from OSU. She has served the National Flute Association as Equipment Manager for a national convention, Visual Documentation Chairperson, and Membership Recruitment Chair.
In July of 2004, Dr. Goodman played principal flute in the International Orchestral Festival Orchestra in Dublin, Ireland. In October of that year, she performed as soloist with The Ohio State University Symphony Orchestra as winner of the concerto competition.
During the summer, Dr. Goodman is on the faculty of the International Music Camp where she teaches flute and music appreciation. Dr. Goodman had a featured article in the November 2006 issue of Flute Talk magazine. In the Spring of 2007, she taught a course that she created at The Ohio State University entitled Navigating a Career in Music. In the summer of 2007, she presented a lecture/recital at the College Music Society�s International Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.
2008 will take Dr. Goodman to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she will be presenting a masterclass and recital at the MacPhail Center for Music. In April she will be performing and presenting at the College Music Society's Super Regional Conference in Missoula, Montana. And, in August of 2008, Dr. Goodman will be presenting a lecture and performing with the Stratosphere Flute Quartet at the National Flute Association convention in Kansas City, Missouri.
Kimberlee lives in Columbus, Ohio where she maintains a large, private flute studio and performs regularly with the Stratosphere Flute Quartet.
