Kimberly McCann, M.M.

Kimberly McCann received her Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance from the Wheaton College Conservatory in Wheaton, IL, and went on to study with Dale Clevenger and earn a Graduate Degree in Horn Performance from Northwestern University. During her studies in the Chicago area, she gained valuable experience playing in numerous off-broadway shows, local symphony orchestras, and other chamber groups.

Ms. McCann moved to Columbus in 1996, and has been performing and teaching privately ever since. She is the horn instructor at Otterbein College, Kenyon College, and Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Besides her role as a horn teacher, she is also an accomplished orchestral musician. Kimberly is Principal Horn in the Newark Granville Symphony, and the Westerville Civic Symphony. In October 2007, she was the featured soloist in the 25th Anniversary Gala Concert of the Westerville Symphony. Also performing outside the Columbus area, she recently traveled to West Virginia to play with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra as an offstage soloist. Kimberly also performs in chamber ensembles including the Ohio State Faculty Trio and brass and woodwind quintets, and plays in pit orchestras for musicals and concerts, such as Mannheim Steamroller.

Kimberly resides in Powell and enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children. She is an active member of the Grace Brethren Church of Columbus, serving in the orchestra and music ministry.
