Dr. Margaret Underwood is in her second year at Otterbein College as the Director of Band, Wind and Percussion Activities. Dr. Underwood conducts the Wind Ensemble, co-conducts Chamber Winds and teaches courses in conducting, music theory and music education. Before coming to Otterbein she was a graduate student at University of Minnesota where she received the first DMA in Wind Conducting with Craig Kirchhoff. Prior to that she was the Assistant Director of Bands at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania and has several years teaching experience at the Middle and High School levels in New York. She received her M.M. in Wind Conducting from The Ohio State University where she studied with Dr. Russel Mikkelson and her B.M.E. from State University of New York at Fredonia.
