Tony Zilincik is a lecturer in music at Otterbein College and an assistant professor of music at Capital University. He has earned a Bachelor of Music degree in music composition and theory from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Music degree in composition from Bowling Green State University. He is currently the tuba instructor at Otterbein where he also directs the Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble. He has also served as director of the Otterbein College Wind Ensemble. Tony is the principal tubist of the Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra, and is a member of the Cathedral Brass at St. Joseph Cathedral in Columbus. He performs regularly with Dr. Tony's Original Ragtime Band, and the Ceremony Brass brass quintet. He is the former E-flat tuba soloist with the Brass Band of Columbus, and the former director of the Central Ohio Brass Band. He has appeared as a tuba soloist with the Central Michigan Brass Band, the Brass Band of Columbus and with numerous area high school ensembles. A prolific composer, Zilincik's works have been performed in Europe and the US. Many of his pieces are published by Cimarron Music Press.
