Teaching areas: Viola and Chamber Music.

Steven, viola, began violin studies with his father in Muskegon, Mich. when he was nine. Making the transition to viola six years later, he did his undergraduate study with Joseph Work at Western Michigan University. Graduate study followed as the student of Walter Trampler at Boston University.

Steven was Principal Viola of Halifax's Atlantic Symphony and has been a member of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra for 23 years. He is Conductor of the Youth Philharmonic of Central Ohio and teaches at the Masterworks Music Festival.
