New Student Weekend

Throughout the four days prior to the beginning of fall quarter, the Otterbein Community comes together to welcome and celebrate with new students. New Student Weekend begins on Thursday, September 10, with new students moving into their dorms in the morning or afternoon (at their scheduled time.) Cardinal cards will be handed out during New Student Weekend. Also parking decals may be purchased during this time. Typical New Student Weekend social events include all meals, Casino Night, Sex @ 7, Tailgate Party/Late Night in the Campus Center, Play fair, a morning of community service, explore Westerville, athletic events, Campus Programming Board special events, and an ice cream social. Academically, new students will meet with their advisor, attend their first Integrative Studies class, and attend the New Student Convocation. New Student Weekend is a great opportunity for both on campus and commuter students to make friends and familiarize themselves with campus!

*Commuters, you will check-in on Thursday, September 10 at 3:45 p.m. Check-in will take place in the Campus Center Lounge. After check in you will attend your family meeting to receive your cardinal card, meal passes for the weekend, and other very important information! Your meals will be provided during New Student Weekend. Friday is an academic day beginning with New Student Convocation at 9a.m. Along with important academic info, there will be many social events designed to help you meet people! More event dates and times are listed in the New Student Weekend booklet that all new students will receive upon check-in! We can't wait to see you for New Student Weekend!
