Our Story

In an effort to raise awareness of the vital role that women play in philanthropy, three Ohio women presidents from Otterbein University, Bowling Green State University, and The University of Findlay are partnering on a three-year initiative focused on Women in Philanthropy. The specific programs -- one hosted by each school throughout a three-year period -- are designed to educate women of different generations, from high school students through women serving in senior leadership positions, about the power of women's philanthropy. The sessions are to encourage conversation, increase dialogue and discussion.

The first event was held in the fall of 2013 at The University of Findlay with the Honorable Betty Montgomery, first woman to serve as Ohio's Attorney General, delivering the keynote address.

The second program entitled Investing in Women for the Common Good will be hosted by Otterbein University on March 3 and 4, 2015 with keynote speakers Dr. Musimbi Kanyoro, President and CEO of the Global Fund for Women; and Katie Koch, Head of Global Portfolio Solutions International, Goldman Sachs Asset Management United Kingdom.
