The Physical Science major prepares students for a career in teaching in grades 7-12.
Otterbein offers a program in Engineering in cooperation with Washington University in St. Louis and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland leading to a B.A. degree from Otterbein College and a B.S. degree in Engineering from the partner institution. Students in this program commonly attend Otterbein for three years and Washington University or Case Western for two. The cooperative engineering program is an attractive alternative to traditional engineering curricula which are typically highly structured and require longer than four years to complete. Program graduates are "liberally educated engineers" with a professional advantage due to the distinctive range of their skills, from problem solving to communication.
