Major: Visual Communication and Business

Justin isn't just shaping Otterbein's curriculum with his personalized, integrated major. As a member of the Student Senate Curriculum Committee, he's helping to develop the College curriculum for his peers as well. After much involvement in his high school student council, Justin decided to join the Student Senate his first year at Otterbein. "We have made some good changes to the food here," he said. "Students pushing for change resulted in actual change occurring."

Why Otterbein: Justin visited eight different colleges across the United States, but found a home at Otterbein. "I felt like I fit in right away rather than feeling lost at a larger school," he said. Otterbein gave Justin the opportunity to customize his degree, get to know his peers in his classes, and receive personal attention from his professors. "It feels more like a community here," he said. "I really appreciate that at Otterbein."

A look into the future: While Justin would be happy with a career in graphic design, his dream job is to be an art director. "There are amazing opportunities in my field here," he said. "Art can be my career now instead of just a hobby."
