An Evening with Andrea Gibson & Megan Falley

Please join us for an evening of spoken word poetry with Andrea Gibson and Megan Falley.  Gibson is the recent author of Lord of the Butterflies, a book that Publishers Weekly describes as 'a tour de force of performance poetry . . .propelled by all that is raw, heartfelt, and confessional.'  Falley has recently completed Drive Here and Devastate Me, a book that Autostraddle enthused is 'a love letter to the queer community.'   Together, both poets are widely acclaimed, deeply revered, and powerful voices of and for spoken word poetry.

Thanks to the sponsorship of the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program as well as affiliated WGSS student organizations--Free Zone, Tri-Iota, and URGE--the performance is free for both the Otterbein community as well as the general public.

We do ask that you consider a $10 cash donation at the door for Otterbein's newly founded LGBTQIA+ Student Emergency Fund, a much needed source of emergency relief for LGBTQIA+ students who need housing or food assistance; financial help with books or academic supplies; or other safety, wellness, or academic necessities.

There is a limit of four (4) tickets per order.  Tickets can be mailed (for free) or you can ask that they be held at Will Call on the night of the performance.  Tickets are subject to the capacity limits of the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall.

Doors open at 7 pm.  Show begins at 7:30.  Book signing and reception will follow the performance in the Roush Hall Fisher Gallery (directly across the street from the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall).

American Sign language interpreting will be available.  Please contact the Otterbein Theatre Box Office at 614.823.1109, 12-4 pm M-F, or anytime via box@otterbein.edu, to reserve seating for your party in front of the interpreter.

You may park in open lots on campus CLICK TO VIEW CAMPUS MAP, on or around State St. in uptown Westerville (a three block walk from Cowan Hall), or available Westerville side streets that are adjacent to campus.
