According to a commissioned feasibility study, the STEAM Innovation Center at Otterbein University will be the first-of-its-kind in the entire country. Located at 60 Collegeview Road in Westerville, the STEAM Innovation Center will be home to two resident companies and Otterbein academic departments, with lab space available to businesses and the broader community.
Renderings by architects at Moody Nolan show what the Center will look like after the renovation.
The exterior will include a new facade and roof, as well as parking lot improvements and additional green space.
The new facade will include additional windows for improved natural lighting inside.
Construction of the new roof began in January 2016.
The main corridor will include collaborative work and social space.
The print shop will serve students and resident companies, as well as off-campus businesses and individuals.
The entry wall will welcome people to the creative space.
A think tank area in the main corridor caters to creative collaboration sessions.
