Kids Can Design It, Build It and Keep It at Maker Mania

Westerville, OH—Otterbein University, in partnership with the PAST Innovation Lab, invite children to Maker Mania, a series of events to create fun projects with the help of teachers and parents. The events take place from 2-4:30 p.m. on Oct. 16, Oct. 30, Nov. 13 and Nov. 20 at The Point at Otterbein University, 60 Collegeview Rd. The cost is $10 per student, and free for parents and teachers. 

It’s all about hands-on inventing, designing, and building. Students can leap into facilitated activities including:

•   Building a functional paper speaker using hand-made inductive coils.
•   Designing and building new creations with recycled materials.
•   Fabricating and assembling a smartphone microscope.
•   Crafting a custom stylus for smartphones and tablets.
•   Designing, building and testing wooden gliders.
