Sweeter than Birdsong follows the events of the series’ first book, Fairer than Morning, this time focusing on Ben Hanby and Kate Winter during their time at Otterbein. She is currently working on the third book in the series, Lovelier than Daylight, which is slated for release in fall 2012.
Publisher’s Weekly said, "Author Elliott creates a pleasing blend of fact and fiction in this second installment in the Saddler’s Legacy series. Readers will appreciate the well-told tale as well as its historical basis."
