Otterbein University Presents Les Misérables

Westerville, OH—Otterbein University Theatre & Dance and the Department of Music presents the musical Les Misérables at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3; 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6; and 8 p.m. on Oct. 4-5 and Oct. 9-12 at the Fritsche Theatre at Roush Hall, 30 S. Before it hit the screen, it hit the stage, and now Les Misérables is coming to Westerville. Based on the 19th-century French novel by Victor Hugo, “the world’s longest-running musical” follows the ex-convict Jean Valjean in his journey to redemption. As the first university-produced performance in Ohio of the full score, this production of the 1987 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical features an elaborate plot and beautiful music sure to delight audience members, whether they are seeing it for their first or 40th time.

Otterbein’s production of Les Misérables will feature three central Ohio children in the roles of Young Eponine, Gavroche and Little Cosette.

Otterbein University Theatre will present Les Misérables at 7:30 p.m. Thursday Oct. 3, at 8 p.m. Oct. 4 and 5, at 2 p.m. Oct. 6, and 8 p.m. Oct. 9-12 in the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall, 30 S. Grove St., Westerville. Tickets are $25 each. Student Rush discounts are available one hour prior to curtain, pending ticket availability.

Tickets for Les Misérables are $25 each and can be reserved by calling the Otterbein University box office at (614) 823-1109 or purchased online at www.otterbein.edu/drama. The box office is open 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour prior to performances. Student Rush discounts are available one hour prior to curtain, pending ticket availability.
