Westerville, OH—Three central Ohio high school students have been recognized by Otterbein University in the third annual Martin Luther King Jr. Multimedia, Essay and Art Contest. Twenty-seven students participated in the contest.
Local high school students were asked to submit an artistic response to the question, “Thinking on a global or local scale, how can you be the change you want to see in the world or your community?”
The top three entries were as follows:
- First Place: Collin Fugger, a sophomore at Westerville North High School, for a poem titled Small Acts of Love Bring the Biggest Change
- Second Place: Emma Shoemaker, a sophomore at Bishop Hartley High School, for an essay titled Be the Change
- Third place: Emily DiAlbert, a sophomore at Westerville North High School, for a poem titled Watching
