Otterbein University Hosts Ruby Cucumber Boot Camp in Partnership with Nationwide

Westerville, OH — Otterbein University, in partnership with Nationwide, invites technology professionals to understand and experience the Agile mindset and culture through its Ruby Cucumber Boot Camp. The camp will address the growing need for collaborative, highly-skilled technology professionals in the central Ohio area who are knowledgeable in test automation.

Participants will learn to leverage Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) and Automation Testing Tools preparing them to take a variety of roles on an Agile team.

This course is taught by expert practitioners from Nationwide who apply these practices every day in support of digital user experience, customer analytics, virtual cloud environment and mobile applications. In addition, participants will learn from industry experts about Cucumber, the software that allows development teams to describe how software should behave in plain text. The text is written in a business-readable, domain-specific language and serves as documentation, automated tests and development aid.

This non-credit course meets from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for eight weeks at Otterbein University. Classes start on Tuesday, Feb. 10, and will be held in room 127 of Courtright Memorial Library, 138 W. Main St., Westerville. The cost is $1,999, payable before the first class. A certificate will be given upon completion.
