Otterbein Department of Music to Present Spring Sing
Otterbein University vocalists will perform Spring Sing, a variety show featuring jazz, musical theatre, and popular vocal styles, at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, in Riley Auditorium at the Battelle Fine Arts Center, 170 W. Park St. An outstanding line up of singers will be featured, including Opus One vocal jazz ensemble. Tickets are available at the door. Admission is $5 for adults, students are free.

QUBE String Quartet to Perform as Artists in Residence at Otterbein
The Music Department of Otterbein University will present QUBE, Artist-in-Residence String Quartet, in concert at 8 p.m. on Monday, April 28, in Riley Auditorium at the Battelle Fine Arts Center, 170 W. Park St. The quartet will present music by English composer Frank Bridge, Chinese folk songs arranged by Zhou Long and Crysanthemums by Puccini. The concert is free and open to the public.

Otterbein Keyboard Series Presents Bernardo Scarambone
Guest artist Bernardo Scarambone, keyboard division coordinator at Eastern Kentucky University, will perform an interactive piano recital on Brazilian composers at Otterbein at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 2, in Riley Auditorium at the Battelle Fine Arts Center, 170 W. Park St. Holding 13 prizes in national and international competitions, Scarambone has been performing and researching Brazilian music for more than 16 years. With concerts and recitals in the United States, Brazil, France, Spain and Germany, Scarambone strives to maintain his career as a teacher, pianist, adjudicator and researcher. He performs and teaches at Eastern Kentucky University. The concert is free and open to the public.

Otterbein Student String and Piano Chamber Ensembles to Perform
The Otterbein University Music Department presents the String Orchestra in concert at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 E. Schrock Rd. The program is part of the “A Joyful Noise” series. The Orchestra will present “East Meets West”, a program of music for string orchestra featuring composers influenced by music and ideas from Eastern regions. The concert is free and open to the public.

Otterbein Student String and Piano Chamber Ensembles to Perform
The Otterbein University Department of Music will present a concert of chamber music performed by student string and piano chamber ensembles at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, in Riley Auditorium at the Battelle Fine Arts Center, 170 W. Park St. The program will include works by Brahms, Debussy, Milhaud, Holst, Mozart and Arensky.

Otterbein Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band to Perform
The Otterbein University Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Margaret Underwood, and the Otterbein University Symphonic Band, under the direction of Michael Yonchak, will perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 9, in the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall, 30 S. Grove St. The concert is free and open to the public.
