Westerville, OH—Otterbein University Theatre presents the Broadway musical, The Full Monty, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24; 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 27; and 8 p.m. on April 25-26 and May 1-3 at the Fritsche Theatre at Roush Hall, 30 S. Based on the 1997 film, The Full Monty is the story of a group of unemployed steel workers in Buffalo, NY. Stripped of their income and their pride, they decide to take a huge risk and perform a strip show, à la The Chippendales, even though they lack the rock-hard abs and chiseled jawlines, to make some money to support their families. These average guys work through their issues of poor self-image, anxiety and stage-fright, and find strength in their friendships as they prepare to “go all the way” and do The Full Monty.

The Broadway production of The Full Monty received 10 Tony Award nominations and won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music in 2001.

Tickets for The Full Monty are $25 each and can be reserved by calling the Otterbein University box office at (614) 823-1109 or purchased online at www.otterbein.edu/drama. The box office is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour prior to performances. Student Rush discounts are available one hour prior to curtain, pending ticket availability.
