Roaming Reporter Media Camp Teaches Girls About Journalism

Westerville, OH— The Otterbein University Communication Department and The Girl’s Book present the Roaming Reporter 2014 Media Camp at 9:30 am - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, in the Art and Communication Building, 33 Collegeview Rd. The cost of the camp is $20 per girl.

This day-long program is designed to give girls in the sixth-11th grades a real-life look at the field of media to help inspire them to consider media as a profession. The program includes an interviewing basics seminar; mock press conference; and lessons from local female media professionals and Otterbein University professors.

Afternoon breakout sessions will give girls a real-life look at Otterbein’s television studio, radio station and print production lab.
