Facilities
Otterbein’s new state-of-the-art Science Center opened in October 2009.
The $20 million project modernized and expanded the existing facilities
and purchased new equipment. With over 96,000 square feet of brand new,
discipline-specific laboratories, research space and classrooms,
including a state-of-the-art greenhouse, the Science Center houses
Chemistry and Biochemistry, Equine Science, Biology and Earth Science,
Nursing, and Physics and Astronomy.
The Department of Chemistry is well-equipped with the tools required to
carry out cutting-edge research. Instrumentation is introduced early on
and used in all courses:
