IHSA Regionals Recap
IHSA Region 2 Championships were held here at Otterbein on Sunday March 11, 2012. The Hunt Seat classes were in the morning and the OET rode well but we only had one rider qualify for zones – Anna Beckman for Novice Flat. The horses were fantastic as usual and the few members of the team that were riding also worked the show since most of the team was on spring break! The Western competition was held in the afternoon. It was fun to see this discipline in our arena for the first time. There were about 60 Hunt Seat competitors and around 30 Western competitors plus their coaches and some parents. Andy Young with Dan’s Deli was here for concessions.
Equestrian Team Captures Third Place at the National Championships
Otterbein's dressage riders came in 3rd at the National Championship horse show in Florida! Riders and placings: Annie Garrett 8th, Emma Heald 4th, Colleen Grant 1st, Anna Beckman 11th. Anna Beckman also received 5th in the individual introductory division. Their peers also awarded them the Sportsmanship Award.

Students May Apply for Horse Boarding
With the completion of the new larger Equine Center, Otterbein will accept a limited number of our students' horses for boarding. Details.
