Join us for Flute Choir Day!
We are pleased to announce the 7th annual Flute Choir Day on Saturday, April 14, 2018 - 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. This event is hosted by the Otterbein University bands and Dr. Kimberlee Goodman, professor of flute studies.
What is Flute Choir Day?
Flute Choir Day is an opportunity for flutists in grades 6 - 12 to share their love of the instrument. NEW THIS YEAR: Two ensembles will rehearse simultaneously and perform at the 5PM concert. The first group will consist of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. The second group will be made up of 9-12 grade students (some outstanding 8th grade students will be invited to perform with the high school group).
All events will take place in the Battelle Fine Arts Center on Otterbein's campus (170 W. Park Street, Westerville, OH 43081 - free parking). The 5 p.m. concert will take place in Riley Auditorium inside Battelle.

8:30 a.m. - Registration Opens - Battelle Fine Arts Center – Lobby
9:00 a.m. - Welcome, Initial Run Through of Flute Choir Music – Riley
10:00 a.m. - Morning Break
10:15 a.m. - Rehearsal
11:30 a.m. - Lunch (cost of lunch covered in registration)
1:00 p.m. - Flute Repair Clinic with Clay Hammond, Owner of Hammond Flute Repair
2:00 p.m. - Sectionals
3:15 p.m. - Afternoon Break
3:30 p.m. - Full Rehearsal – Riley
4:30 p.m. - Get Ready for Concert (concert attire is your flute choir day t-shirt and your choice of jeans, skirt, etc)
5:00 p.m. - Flute Choir Concert – FREE to the public! – Riley Auditorium
