Graduate Schools and Careers

There are significant entry-level positions in psychology and related areas that Otterbein graduates can obtain with a Bachelor’s degree. In fact, the departmental internship program can lead directly to employment following graduation. Advancement in the helping professions generally requires at least a Master’s degree or a Doctorate, which would entail up to four years of additional study. In general, our graduates have had excellent success finding appropriate positions after graduation as well as in graduate school.

Psychology is a diverse field that can lead to satisfying careers for students who choose to stop with a Bachelor’s degree. Students develop critical thinking skills, hone their writing skills, and learn to work as part of a team.
