Student Research Opportunities

Otterbein faculty welcome students into their research programs, and you may have the opportunity to do research as early as your first year. Our students and faculty have conducted research on and off campus - in labs, fields, streams, zoos, hospitals and even in other countries. You may also have the opportunity to present your research on campus, locally and nationally, and publish in scientific journals. Our students have presented their research at the American Society for Microbiology, the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the American Chemical Society, the Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology and the Ohio Academy of Science.

The Otterbein Student Research Fund grants Student Research and Student Presentation awards to enrolled undergraduate students to help defray the costs associated with student research and travel to conferences to present research.
