Strengthening our research community, together.
Co-ops, or cooperatives, are groups of people working together to accomplish a task that one might not be able to achieve alone. Co-ops provide opportunities to get services needed, offer a way to transform business, while strengthening the communities around them.
What is the Otterbein University Research
The Otterbein University Research Co-Op is the framework to bring together faculty, staff, students, other campus research groups (ex: FSDC), and the community to accomplish projects that would not be possible alone. The co-op is a catalyst to help you achieve your research goals.
In addition to reaching faculty, staff, and students from the Otterbein community, extending the invitation for collaboration to corporations, non-profits, and schools from the Central Ohio area is also a part of the vision of the Co-Op.
Present Your Research
The Research Co-Op is also a natural forum for presenting research and getting feedback or just sharing the excitement and passion for a project you have done. Hour-long, monthly meetings allow a maximum of 3 presenters up to 20 minutes each to present their research and have some brief Q&A. Check out the Events section for upcoming presentation dates, and to register your interest in presenting your research at an upcoming gathering.
If you are a faculty member returning from sabbatical this is a great way to share your research!
Learn More About Research
Faculty and students, these research presentation sessions are also a great opportunity for classes to come hear presentations and gain a deeper understanding of the variety of methods in which research can be completed. Consider having part of your class session at an upcoming presentation session!
