Otterbein Police
We're committed to your safety.
Otterbein will be your home for four years, and the Otterbein Police Department will ensure that it is a safe home. We take a proactive and preventative approach to campus safety through educational programs, emergency management, and law enforcement. Our trained, certified, and commissioned police officers provide 24-hour patrols of the entire campus, including parking lots, residence halls, academic/administrative buildings, athletic facilities, and surrounding campus properties. We constantly monitor 40 emergency telephones strategically located throughout campus. They are marked with a yellow call box on a white pole, with a blue light on top of the pole and ring directly into our main office and portable radios carried by our officers. With the Service Department, we also inspect and service fire, alarm, and emergency equipment.
We maintain close relationships with the Westerville Division of Police (WPD), located just steps from campus; Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital, located less than a mile from campus; and various state and local law enforcement agencies. We also offer a variety of services, from security escorts to changing a flat tire. Call us whenever you need us—we’re here for you!
