Meet Our Staff

Hall Directors (HDs)

HDs are paraprofessional staff members who have previous experience as a Resident Assistant. Their responsibilities include the supervision of Resident Assistants (RAs), individual halls/complex facility management and referring students to campus resources. 

Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs)

RLCs are professional staff members who manage one or two residence halls as Hall Directors and provide support in the central office coordinating housing selection processes, publishing weekly hall newsletters and handling general inquiries.

Assistant Directors of Residence Life (ADRLs)

ADRLs are professional staff members who all hold a Master's degree in a Student Affairs field. They supervise the Hall Directors and work with the Service Department to assure facilities are well-maintained. They work directly with students for referrals to counseling, for behavior management, and advising individual students with academic or social concerns.

Director of Residence Life

The Director of Residence Life is responsible for the overall operations of the Residence Life program at Otterbein University. They work with students needing housing accommodations due to diagnosed disabilities, supervise the Assistant Directors, plan facility renovations and work with outside vendors for custodial services, campus vending, laundry services and care package programs.

The Office of Residence Life is located in the back of Hanby Hall on Cochran Alley.
