Alumni Career Network
The Cardinal Career Alumni Network, sponsored by the CCP and the Office of Alumni Relations, provides students with access to the professional knowledge of alumni. These alumni have volunteered to serve as a career consultant, refer jobs or internships, provide a job shadowing opportunity or participate in on-campus programs. Connecting with Otterbein alumni can help you better prepare for your future encounters with the world of work.
What are some ways you can connect with members of the alumni network?
Information Interview If you would like to meet a member of the alumni career network individually, contact a staff member in the CCP. They will try to match you with an Otterbein graduate who is working in your field of interest. You can schedule an information interview to learn more about their work, industry or field, and ask for advice about your career plans and activities.
Cardinal Network Luncheon
The luncheon is an event that is scheduled annually in late January. This program provides a chance for students to meet someone who has their dream job, discuss career related issues, and gain insight on desired occupations. The professionals appreciate the chance to share their knowledge with a young professional-to-be and provide appreciated advice and encouragement.
Networking at the Gallery
Several times a year we sponsor a networking event that takes place in the Roush Hall gallery. The purpose is to provide a structured, interactive experience in which students can network with alumni who share the same major. The evening consists of a series of networking activities, a Q & A panel, and a networking reception in a "tutorial" environment with alumni who have experience to share with our students.
