The Office of Information and Technology Services in a partnership with Microsoft, is giving each currently enrolled student, faculty and staff access to full-versions of Microsoft Office and Office Mobile for FREE! This can be installed simultaneously on 5 PCs and Macs and an additional 5 for mobile devices - iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile.
Using Office 365
You will logon with your email@example.com and your network (Ozone) password. Logon at http://office.otterbein.edu.
Upon first time logon, open OneDrive first so the Office apps know where to automatically save. No manual saving needed!
What you get
Office 365 in the cloud anytime and 5 free installations for PCs or Macs including mobile devices. PC installation includes: Office 2016 versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. Mac installation includes: Office 2016 versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Office online also includes 1TB of free OneDrive storage and more collaboration software. Ongoing access to updates. Note: Outlook is not being offered at this time. Please continue to use your Otterbein Gmail.
For students, the software will deactivate 90 days after graduation. For Otterbein employees, software will deactivate upon termination date. At that time, the software should prompt you to purchase a personal license for continued use. Additionally, the computer has to connect to the Internet at least once every 30 days for Office 365 ProPlus to remain activated.
System requirements for PC and Mac
System requirements for Macs are Intel processor, 4 GB RAM, 6 GB HFS+ hard disk format, 1280 x 800 screen resolution, and OS X 10.10 or later.
System requirements for mobile devices
Windows: Office 2013 versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access. Windows 8 or higher required. Office Mobile applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote) require Windows 10.
iOS: Office for iPad® and iPhone requires iOS 7.0 or higher.
Android: Office for Android™ can be installed on tablets and phones that meet the following criteria: running Android KitKat 4.4 or later version and have an ARM-based or Intel x86 processor.
