Pedagogical Innovation

Service-Learning Mini Course Development Grants: Mini-grant opportunities for faculty and staff interested in developing new community service projects are available through an annual RFP. Mini-grants fund a summer faculty stipend, resources for the service activity, and a partner stipend. Read Faculty Narratives about their funded service-learning courses.

One-on-One Course Construction Consultations: We are available to help construct service-learning syllabi, write learning objectives, develop course reflection techniques, plan service activities, and negotiate logistical questions.

Service-Learning Risk Management: We can assist with partnership agreement forms, student responsibility statements, and photo releases.

Service-Learning Student Assistants: We fund student assistants for service-learning courses. These students are trained by CCE in the basics of service-learning and can assist with logistics, mentoring, and partnership needs.
