Guidance Counselors

As a high school guidance counselor, you play a major role in helping your students realize their college dreams and potential. We’ve gathered important information that can help you help your students successfully apply to Otterbein.

News & Upcoming Events

Otterbein Accepted to Common Application

Students applying for the Fall of 2011 will have additional outlets to be considered for admission, as Otterbein was recently accepted to the Common Application. The Common Application is a consortium of over 400 colleges and universities that allows students to apply through a standard application process. Otterbein will continue to offer its own application, however new requirements will be put into place to align ourselves with other Common Application schools, including a required essay and recommendation.

Any questions on the Common Application or Otterbein's transition, email Ben Shoemaker, Associate Director of Admission.

Cardinal Science Scholar Award

New to Otterbein scholarships this year is the Cardinal Science Scholar Award. Students majoring in Chemistry, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Physics, and Pre-Engineering at Otterbein are welcome to apply for this new $6000 award offered to students entering fall of 2012.  Read more here.
