    Otterbein University is committed to assisting all members of the campus community, students, prospective students, employees and prospective employees in providing for their own safety and security.  The most recent Annual Security and Fire Safety compliance document is always available on the Otterbein website.  You can also pick up a hard copy of the report at the Otterbein Police Department offices. The report contains information regarding campus safety and security and include topics such as crime prevention, fire safety, university police enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus.  It also contains information about crime statistics for the previous three calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off campus buildings, or property owned or controlled by Otterbein as well as on public property within, or immediately adjacent to, and accessible, from the campus.

This information is required by law and provided by the Otterbein Police Department.

Athletics

  • Equity in Athletics Disclosures
    Information regarding the University’s commitment to provide equitable opportunities available for men and women students may be requested from the Department of Athletics. Otterbein is a member of Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) and, as such, follows their policies and principles. A student-athlete may receive financial aid through Otterbein’s established and continuing program to aid students. The University does not consider athletic ability as a criterion in the formulation of the financial aid package.
