Off Campus Living
Students who meet one or more of the following criteria are allowed to live in off-campus accommodations unless they have signed a housing contract:
- Junior or Senior status (minimum of 90 credit hours accumulated)
- Married
- Will be 22 years of age prior to the first day of classes of autumn term
- Commuting from their parents' home within a thirty mile radius of Otterbein College
All students residing in off-campus locations are responsible for notifying the Student Affairs Office of their address one week prior to the first day of class of autumn term.
To assist students with the transition from on-campus residence halls to off-campus houses and apartments, the Student Affairs Office provides the Off-Campus Living Resource Guide. The guide contains information about searching for off-campus accommodations, renter's rights, safety measures and important phone numbers. Paper copies of the guide are available in the Student Affairs Office.
