Parents & Family site

Otterbein College has a Parents & Family Site that contains loads of information about health and safety, important phone numbers, money matters and academic support. There is also information on how you can get involved with Parents Advisory Council (PAC).

Class of 2013

Every incoming student should bookmark the Class of 2013 site. This site has forms for housing, registration inforamtion for Orientation, parking and security information. Also, it will be used for announcements for the class of 2013 all the way through the commencement and graduation process.

Campus Life Handbook

The Campus Life Handbook contains Otterbein's policies, guidelines and sanctions. If you have a question from what the parking policies are to what refridgerator size is appropriate to what the visitation policy is, it can be found in this book.

Food Service

Bon Appétit is Otterbein's food service provider. Bon Appétit is a company committed to contolling its carbon-footprint by using locally produced food. On-campus dining options include a large cafeteria, a Quiznos sub shop, the Roost Express deli in Roush Hall, and the OtterBean Café in the library.

Security in the Residence Halls

Security in the Residence Halls is very important. The Security Department is committed to providing a safe, friendly atmosphere through high-quality service and programs. Current Security Officers have received training and certification through the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) and were commissioned as police officers at Otterbein College on February 11, 2009. At present, the Security Department is not acting upon its authority as a police department, but instead focusing on the administrative and legal requirements to successfully complete the conversion. This is tentatively scheduled to occur on July 1, 2010.

Throughout the year, the Security staff will present programs in the residence halls on a variety of topics, including Active Shooter Training, Spring Break Awareness, Self-Defense Classes, and many more. Encourage your students to take advantage of these free opportunities. More information on these programs can be found here.
