Technical Processing for Marcive Serial Records
As we receive change record service, we will get a lot of serial records because of the record change. These records are in the monthly SLM load. They are mixed in the list of SLM not overlaid list created by Tony after each load.
As they are naked bib, each library need to attach records to them. If you decide to attach check in or holding records to them, they can serve as shelf list required by GPO. Otherwise you need to keep a separate system to record them as GPO required the piece level shelf list.
To attach the holding record:
Log on the system
O > ORDERING and receiving subsystem
S > SERIALS processing
S > SERIALS check-in type in your user name and password
