Using Periodicals
Periodicals are magazines, serials, newspapers, journals, and annual publications. Libraries call anything that is received on a regular basis a periodical.
Magazine articles usually provide information on current events and express popular opinion of a topic.
Journals are usually written by scholars, are peer-reviewed, and express academic analysis of a topic.
Newspapers contain information on current events and express the public opinion of an event at the time that it happened.
The library subscribes to many different electronic databases and indexes that you can use to find just the right article or periodical for your topic. Try using Academic Search Complete; it's a great place to start your search for periodical articles.
