MLA:

APA:
E-mail messages are cited within the text of your paper and are not included in the bibliography. Therefore, for example, in your paper you would include:
Rivers Cuomo (personal communication, Jan. 6, 2008) e-mailed that he found the web tutorial to be rather droll.

Citing an Interview
MLA:
Busey, Gary. Telephone interview. 9 May. 2008.
Busey, Gary. Interview. Martha Stewart Living. KERA, Dallas. 23 May 2008.
APA:
Personal (unpublished) interviews are cited within the text of your paper and are not included in the bibliography. Therefore, for example, in your paper you would include:
Gary Busey (personal communication, May. 9, 2008) said in a telephone interview that he believed that, if eaten with low-calorie Ranch dressing, the web tutorial would enable him to fly.
Published interviews, such as those on TV, can be done as follows:
