Image Sources for Print Publications
Images on the Internet are often created in a gif or jpeg format. This looks good online, but does not translate well into a print format. It is better to use .tiff or .eps formats for a print document. Unfortunately, this form is hard to find for free online, but there are places you can go for images.

Alright, almost everything listed above has restricted uses, such as non-commerical use only. However, print journals and books before 1923 are free to use as you see fit. A few suggestions from our collection on the 2nd floor. The date indicates how far back our collection goes:
