The 1956 50th Reunion Committee at Otterbein College has established a fund in memory of Sarah Rose Gorsuch. The money raised is being used to improve the Courtright Memorial Library’s juvenile collection by creating Sarah’s Corner, a welcoming area for kids of all ages. During the summer, the entire juvenile and curriculum collections have been moved from the third floor to the lower level of the library. We have purchased new furniture, area rugs, and animal floor pillows. The use of shorter, more kid friendly shelving has made the materials in the collection more accessible to everyone. On Friday October 6 at 3:30 PM an open house and dedication ceremony for Sarah’s Corner will take place in the lower level of the Courtright Memorial Library. J. Patrick Lewis, children’s author and emeriti faculty from Otterbein College, will speak. More information about this event will be available later. Please put it on your calendar and plan to attend! |
