The
RefWorks Tutorial
|
|
To
use RefWorks, Otterbein faculty and students must set up his
or her own RefWorks account and database. A group working together
can also set up an account with a shared user name and password
as to share collections of citations with others.
- Go to the RefWorks User Login page at https://www.refworks.com/Refworks
and click on Sign up for an Individual Account. Complete
the registration form.
- You will receive a confirmation e-mail that includes your
Otterbein group code. Keep that so you will be able to access
RefWorks when off-campus.
- Once you have the account set up, you can start building
your own database. You can organize your references into folders
and search the entire contents of your database.
- You can also call the library reference desk
614 823-1366 for the group code.

Instructions

RefWorks vary for different databases. Thanks to Xavier University's
Marcia Poggione, detailed help screens are available for
the following database vendors.
- CSA Databases
- EBSCO Databases
- Electronic Journal Center
- FirstSearch Databases
- ISI Databases
- JSTOR
- OhioLINK Catalog
