  • U.S. Newswire --A full-text wire service from the U.S. government and other public policy news sources. A single site where online users can access, read, and download the raw news from many nation's leading newsmakers.
  • U.S. News Archives on the Web -- Provides archive dates and the cost to retrieve the full text of articles. Unless noted, searching is free.  Archives of non-US newspaper archives are also available.

  • CRAYON  - Create your own newspaper. The sites allows to select the type of news links and from where.
  • Documents in the News -- A current events research service that "identifies issues about government making news headlines and web sources with additional information
  • FCC-The Federal Communications Commission  - Regulates interstate, international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable.
  • Freedom Forum Online -- The Freedom Forum is a nonpartisan, international foundation dedicated to free press, free speech and free spirit for all people.

  • Freedom of Information Center -- The FoI Center and its founders were central to the effort to enact a national Freedom of Information Act. Over 1 million documents.
  • Journalism Education Association
  • National Communication Association -- Oldest and largest national organization serving the academic discipline of Communication, includes the listserv CRTNET.
  • National Sound Archive Catalogue -- 2.5 million recordings held at the British Library National Sound Archive. A few free samples, and information on how to purchase particular sounds.
  • Society of Professional Journalists --  Includes SPJ-L listserv,frequented mostly by working journalists, but subscription is open.
