Degree Options

The following optional concentrations are available in the major:

Criminology
Family Sociology
Urban Sociology

A major in sociology can complement an interdisciplinary minor in Black Studies, Environmental Studies, Legal Studies, or Women's Studies. Specific options can be worked out with your academic advisor.

A concentration in Sociology is available in the Teacher Preparation Program.

Individually designed majors and minors also may be constructed for students, for example, in research methods or sociological practice.
