The family concentration focuses on the development of the individual in the context of family and society. It also provides an overview of gendered history and family history in their economic, social, cultural and political contexts. Special attention is given to ideas about gendered roles inside and outside the family and how this relates to the realities of women's experiences. The program is designed to prepare students for:
