| Student Teacher Methods Practicum | Every Teacher Education student (90 per year) participates in a significant field experience in a CPS setting |
| Student Teacher Field Placements | Nine student teachers were placed in a CPS setting for their field placements in 2002-03. |
| Employment | 22 Teacher Education graduates secured employment with CPS in 2002. 130 Otterbein alumni are employed by CPS. |
| Graduate Degree Programs | 17 CPS teachers are enrolled in the Masters of Arts in Education Program and four are non-degree students (Summer 2002). |
| Department of Music | Junior Music Education students are placed in Columbus Public Schools for their field placements. Students are recruited for Kinderchor, a children's choir, which offers scholarships to Columbus Public School children who participate. Kinderchor is also a way to share music with area teachers. |
| Early Childhood Super Conference | Otterbein dedicates the entire campus to this conference held annually. Faculty/students assist with coordination/presentations. |
| Otterbein Community Reading Clinic | Certified elementary teachers provide language arts training to elementary students from CPS and other school districts to enhance reading and writing skills. |
